Ernest Inneh scored twice to lead the Staten Island Vipers (7-4) past the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (6-6) 2-1 Sunday in front of 3,922 at Bethel Park Stadium.
Rob Johnson had a hand in both Vipers goals, starting in the 51st minute, when he stole the ball near midfield and sent a long pass into the box.
Pittsburgh defender Ezzy chested the ball down, but couldn't control it, leaving Inneh with a clear shot past Dedini.
Sixteen minutes later, Johnson nutmegged Ezzy with a low cross to Inneh, who finished with a curling shot.
The Riverhounds, who had won four straight coming into Sunday's game, avoided the shutout with a 90th-minute goal by late substitute David Flavius. Bobby Meyer, who came off the bench in the 70th minute, forced a turnover 35 yards from the goal, and Flavius one-timed his pass into the net.
