Working Title: Carp'e diem

Storyline: 

Post-apocalyptic fishing game.

It opens with the main character stranded on an island with no memory, and through the game you discover that you're actually on the top plateau of a mountain of a continent that got flooded by the rising sea level. You find out by fishing out old TVs, messages in bottles and other artefacts revealing information about the past.

The main goal of the game is to fish. You fish for different fish species, that you can trade with pelicans (in suits) for an invented currency.

There's also a lot of minigames to earn resources to better your skillset, upgrade your equipment and base.

Fishing mechanic:

The fishing for fish or trash is done with the following mechanic: your fishing hook gets submerged into a trench, goes deeper and deeper, you have to avoid hitting bumps and rocks while you go down. The deeper you go, the better the fish/trash get, once you touch something, it gets on your hook and it goes back up. But if you hit a rock, you also start going back up.

Learning outcomes: sustainable fishing, life under water (fish characteristics, population status etc.)

Target audience:

casual mobile gamer

adults between 18 and 35
